We are proud to be raising funds to support the fight against cancer. The money we raise will help the Canadian Cancer Society fund life-saving cancer research, offer vital information on cancer and provide compassionate support services to people living with cancer and their families.
We will be hosting a Gala to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society:

Venue: Premiere Ballroom and Banquet Hall
Theme: Illumination in Galaxy all songs & dances around broadway shows & old movies; will be accompanied by dancers and drama

For our 2008-2009 year, the Unionville Doncrest HK-Canada New Horizon Lions Club has made a commitment to support the following organizations:
Southlake Regional Health Foundation
- To develop a Cancer Wing complete with state-of-the-art radiology equipment
To provide cancer patient radiation treatment in areas south of Simcoe County including Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Markham, Thronhill
To assist in raising funds to meet the hospital’s target of $60 million
New Horizon Lions Club have pledged to fundraise $10,000 for the hospital
To provide young Canadian Champion Dancesport Athletes to represent Canada in worldwide competitions
To encourage Dancesport athletes to participate in charity performances
York University Chinese Student Association
To encourage students to participate in community projects and volunteer services
